Home Health Services are provided through a statewide network of licensed home health agencies that contract with BEAS. Services are provided to individuals ages 60 and older, living in the community, who has the greatest economic and social need. Services provided include nursing services, assistance with personal care, and homemaking services. The state’s duty to protect those who receive nursing care is the basis for a nursing license. Safe, competent nursing practice is grounded in the law as written in the state nurse practice act (NPA) and the state rules/regulations. Together the NPA and rules/regulations guide and govern nursing practice.

Vulnerable Adult Act, Chapter RCW, the Medicare and Medicaid nursing facility requirements including 42 CFR , and, the Elder Justice Act of , Section B of the Social Security Act – Reporting possible crimes to law enforcement. HOMEMAKER (HM) service includes assistance with: shopping, menu planning, laundry, and the performance of general household tasks (e.g., meal preparation and routine household care) provided by a qualified homemaker, when the individual regularly responsible for these activities is temporarily.

Interpretation. 2 In this Act, (a) "agency" means a municipal unit, a society incorporated under the Childrens Services Act or a non-profit organization providing a homemakers service; (b) "homemakers service" means a service provided under this Act and the regulations.

(1) An application for the services of a homemaker or nurse under section 5 of the Act shall be in Form 1. R.R.O. Reg.s. 5 (1). (2) Each application in Form 1 shall be accompanied by a consent to inspect assets in Form 2, and where the application in Form 1 is made in respect of the services of a nurse, it shall also be accompanied.

All hospice aide services must be provided by individuals who meet the personnel requirements specified in paragraph (a) of this section.

Homemaker services must be provided by individuals who meet the Homemakers and Nurses Services Act and Regulations book requirements specified in paragraph (j) of this section.

(a) Standard: Hospice aide qualifications. (1) A qualified hospice aide is a person who has successfully completed one of the. FL Agency for Health Care Administration. The term "companionship services" does not include services performed by trained personnel such as registered or practical nurses.

Registered nurses are exempt from the FLSA's wage requirements where their time is spent in the performance of the duties of a nurse and are paid on a salary or a "fee basis" as defined by Regulations, 29 CFR Part These regulations govern the Medically Handicapped Children's Program (MHCP), which provides coverage of medical services for children with certain disabilities; the Genetically Handicapped Persons' Program, which is an extension of the MHCP and provides coverage of certain services for persons age 21 or older who require treatment for cystic fibrosis, hemophilia, and sickle cell disease; and.

It is declared to be the public policy that the State has a legitimate interest in assuring that all home health services, home nursing services, and in-home support services provided to a person at his residence are performed under circumstances that insure consumer protection and quality care.

6 Training Program General Requirements The training program content outlines, which are to be followed for the training program, are included in this packet (pages 8 and 9) as is the Homemaker-Home Health Aide Training Faculty.(2) “Advanced or specialized nursing practice” means, in addition to the practice of professional nursing, the performance of advanced-level nursing acts approved by the board which, by virtue of postbasic specialized education, training, and experience, are appropriately performed by an advanced practice registered nurse.

Within the context of advanced or specialized nursing practice, the.nurse practice act and regulations, and to keep up with ongoing changes as this dynamic document evolves and the scope of practice expands.
